Salve a tutti!

Colgo l’occasione per dirvi che Domenica 24 qui a Roma al Teatro TendeStrisce si fermeranno, in una delle numerose tappe del loro Tour, i Lacuna Coil(che andro a vedere!!).

Secondo quanto ho scoperto, a fare da spalla ai mitici Lacuna sarà un gruppo Romano, i Novembre.

Sì, sono quasi sicuro che tu lettore non saprai chi sono(e fino a qualche mese fa la loro esistenza mi era del tutto estranea), per questo vi fornisco una breve biografia e discografia:

Gruppo italiano di Melodic death metal/Progressive metal unito a sonorità ed atmosfere gotiche e doom, dimostrando di eguagliare e anzi anticipare cronologicamente la lezione impartita da gruppi come Opeth e Katatonia e di saperla rimodellare con l’originalità di chi ha influenze ben lontane dal mondo del Metal.

Nati nel 1990 con il nome Catacomb, dalla mente dei due fratelli romani Carmelo Orlando (voce e chitarra) e Giuseppe Orlando (batteria), pubblicano un demo (Unreal 1991) e un EP (The Return Of The Ark). Viste le evoluzioni del sound del gruppo, i due fratelli preferiscono cambiare nome alla loro creatura, scegliendone uno che meglio rappresentasse la loro musica: Novembre. La band comincia a farsi conoscere grazie ai circuiti dell’underground internazionale.

Registrano i primi due album, Wish I Could Dream It Again e Arte Novecento. Partono dunque per una tournée come supporto dei Moonspell, al termine della quale registrano Classica, che vede la luce nel 2000. Con Novembrine Waltz i Novembre ottengono un successo stratosferico, che li porta nuovamente in tournée assieme a Katatonia ed Opeth. Nel 2002 la band decide di riregistrare Wish I Could Dream It Again (prima produzione del gruppo) con il nome di Dreams D’Azur.

Nel 2005 la band entra di nuovo in studio per incidere Materia, nuova produzione uscita il 17 aprile 2006.
